Live Event: Painting with Alice Brasser

Live Event: Painting with Alice Brasser

On March 6, we joined Alice Brasser in her studio for a 1-hour painting session. Rewatch the livestream from start to finish.

During the pandemic, Alice Brasser's small works brought comfort to collectors in isolation – bringing new-found internet fame to the artist. Alice’s soft, liquid brushstrokes blur together her memories and imagination to create contemplative interiors and soothing landscapes. During the livestream Alice painted one of these signature small canvases on camera – explaining her process step by step. At the end, the painting was given to one lucky viewer in a randomised draw.

Gemma Rolls-Bentley's Collection

As a curator and creative consultant, this is how she approaches her own collection as well as those she builds for others – guided by the idea that art should hold real meaning for those who spend time with it. The art that fills her South London home is a reflection of the queer family she is creating with her wife, poet and dementia specialist, Danielle Wilde.
